A concept of a versed person in criminal procedure

In the article a concept of a versed person is considered. The author analyzes a way how knowledge of «versed persons» can be used in the criminal procedure in accordance with Criminal Procedure Code. The author analyses a versed person personality from the standpoint of Moscow Psychological school of A.N. Leontyev. This school formed a foundation for the conclusion that intellectual (or cognitive) capacity of the versed person is dominant. As a result of this research a definition of a «versed person» in criminal procedure of modern Russia was formulated.
