The Concept of Text and its Functions in Teaching the Kyrgyz Language in Russian-Speaking Secondary

The article examines the theoretical and methodological foundations of the concept of text and its functions in teaching the Kyrgyz language in Russian-speaking secondary school classes. The author focuses on the text as the central unit of learning, combining linguistic, communicative and cultural aspects. The main functions of the text in the educational process are determined: informational, cognitive, developmental, communicative and educational. Special attention is paid to the role of text in the formation of students' speech competence, the development of their reading skills, analysis and independent expression of thoughts in the Kyrgyz language. The article reveals the possibilities of using various types of texts (artistic, journalistic, educational) to increase motivation and efficiency of learning the Kyrgyz language in conditions of bilingualism. The presented conclusions and recommendations may be useful to teachers of the Kyrgyz language, methodologists and researchers in the field of teaching methods.
