The authors studied various approaches to defining the terminology used in the study of pedagogical support of professional de-victimization of FSIN employees. Using the methods of comparison, induction and design, they analyzed and generalized the psychological and pedagogical literature. In the process of analysis, special attention was paid to processes that are currently poorly described in the scientific literature. It is noted that the specific conditions of professional activity in certain situations and taking into account the psychological characteristics of FSIN employees can have a negative impact on the employees of the penitentiary system. Workers who directly interact with people are more likely to experience professional deformation, and therefore they are more prone to victimization. The article presents the opinions of scientists on the problem under study and clarifies the wording of such basic concepts as “victim behavior”, “victim”, “professional deformation”, “de-victimization”. Along with this, the terms “professional de-victimization” and “pedagogical support for the professional de-victimization of FSIN employees” that have not yet been widely used in scientific circulation are analyzed. It is concluded that all elements have already been widely studied individually, but have not yet been considered in research in aggregate. Based on the interpretation of each individual definition in these phrases, the authors formulate definitions of these concepts that are proposed to be used in scientific circulation when considering this topic. It is concluded that the phenomena under study reflect the main features of pedagogical support for the de-victimization of FSIN employees and can subsequently be adjusted and clarified depending on the direction of further research.
