This article is devoted to the process of popularization of philosophical knowledge in modern culture. The author identifies the main trends in the popularization of philosophy, which lead to a simplification of the understanding of philosophical knowledge, the loss of its “academic” component, as well as to the ideologization and politicization of philosophy. As a component of the popularization of philosophy today, the author analyzes the position of traditionalism. The author also turns to the origins of consideration of the status of philosophical knowledge in the teachings of Plato, Aristotle, and M. Heidegger. If Plato and Aristotle understood philosophy as mostly rational knowledge, then in the twentieth century, understanding the essence of philosophy becomes impossible without understanding human thinking, which connects philosophy with reality, society, and culture. The author turns to the specifics of philosophical knowledge, on the basis of which prospects for the popularization of philosophy are opened with the condition of maintaining its status as a special kind of knowledge. The author considers educational and educational resources as such opportunities. The author points out the need for a revision of philosophical knowledge, a critical and skeptical attitude towards the world and global processes occurring in the modern world. However, in the conditions of such a revision, which can be assessed as a crisis of philosophical knowledge, a new anthropological turn in philosophy in a state of anxiety becomes relevant - a turn to man and his spirituality, which opens up new opportunities for strengthening, popularizing, and developing philosophy today, especially in Russia. As a popularization of philosophy, the author considers not only online platforms and online education but also the development of authors’ courses and the development of book culture.
