The procedure for the destruction of documents containing information about intellectual property objects in the system of internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation

Due to the fact that the methods for resolving documents are not fixed at the legislative level, organizations at various levels issue regulations governing this procedure. Internal affairs agencies are no exception, because one of the important areas of their activity, besides law enforcement, is the protection of intellectual property. According to the regulatory documents of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, often scientific research documents and inventions documents have an unlimited shelf life, but but there are also documents with retention periods of two to ten years. In case of destruction of such documents, it is necessary to choose a certain method that would not violate confidentiality or harm the system of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, which shows the importance and complexity of this issue. Its solution can be found in the creation of separate staff groups/departments or departments with functional responsibilities for the independent destruction of documents containing information about intellectual property.
