Creating personal learning space as a means of future professional self-development in foreign language education

At present one of the major tasks of the teacher is to design and implement new educational tools in order to create productive education environment. The students’ objective is to be able to create personal learning space (PLS) taking into account their individual characteristics, interests and level of knowledge. PLS creation is regarded as teacher- and- student cooperative activity aimed at stimulating activity in learning. It is achieved through the mechanisms of regulating student’s behaviour which leads to the personality awareness of the ability to regulate self. Moreover, it is accompanied by self-study skills development aimed at learners autonomy and self-development. The authors definition of PLS from the point of view of system and activity approach was presented, PLS structure was described, the requirements to PLS creation were specified.
