Construction of overtime employment by Russian employers: a summary of social strategies

The article identifies and summarizes the main strategies of Russian employers in relation to the construction of permanent overtime employment, disguised as overtime. It is noted that these strategies are based on the requirements of formal labor relations and legislative provisions in such a way as not to violate them in order to avoid sanctions from the state. In total, seven such strategies are identified, namely, the strategy of setting high wages, for which the employee has to work much more than the standard work shift; the strategy of setting an overdue work standard; project strategy; the strategy of combining work duties by an employee in several positions; the strategy of redistribution of work duties in the conditions of personnel shortage in the Russian labor market; the strategy of increasing the wage rate in the Russian labor market with a simultaneous significant increase in the volume of work duties; the strategy of disguising labor relations as self-employment relations. The article concludes that the situation with permanent overtime employment will continue to reproduce itself in the near future.
