The potential of sectoral cultural studies in the implementation of state cultural policy

The report analyzes the way of updating the knowledge of branch cultural studies in the education al process in a creative university. It is shown that the theoretical knowledge of conservatory students forms the foundation for postgraduate work in educational and cultural institutions. In the process of educational (practice) and extracurricular (concert) activities, students and teachers of the Conservatory actually realize such goals of the state cultural policy as the formation of a harmoniously developed personality; strengthening the unity of Russian society through priority cultural and humanitarian development; strengthening of civic identity; preservation of historical and cultural heritage and its use for upbringing and education; transmission from generation to generation of traditional values and norms for Russian civilization, traditions, customs and patterns of behavior; creating conditions for each person to realize his creative potential; ensuring citizens’ access to knowledge, information, cultural values and benefits.
