Needs of patients in late life: state-of-the-art

This paper is considered some data of foreign study published at last years, concerning of palliative medicine's questions. It is discussed the modern opportunities of end-of-life care, the aim of which to decrease the patient's suffering, to satisfy the psychological, social and spiritual requirements of the patients and his family, to keep the self-respect and the dignity of the patients. The problem of the depressive disorders and dementia is discussed separately
