Optimal health of students is one of the key factors in the formation of professional competencies and skills of a young doctor, but the main personal and group behavioral strategies that affect the physical and psychological state of young people are currently not fully understood. The article reflects the results of a study conducted to systematically analyze the behavior of students in relation to health and determine its correlation with the effectiveness of learning. The tasks of studying the types of behavioral strategies of young people, their relationship with self-assessment of health, academic performance, and environmental factors of influence were solved. The paper examines a wide range of variables associated with certain behavioral stereotypes and standards of students, and assesses their relationship with the success of learning from the standpoint of a structural and functional approach to the theory of social processes. For the first time, a strong correlation of academic performance with variables that quantify the psychological climate in the student group, satisfaction with the class schedule, and relationships with teachers was revealed. A two-component model is formed that links the key elements of students' health behavior and the factors that affect them with the success of their studies.
