The povest o tsaritse i lvitse: features of art structure

Features of art structure of the Povest o tsaritse i lvitse have been considered. The story based on the medieval novel about Otton and Olundа was popular in Russian literature at the end of XVII - XIX centuries. The tortures happened in the life of the slandered tsaritsa have become the central theme of the Russian story and have caused considerable changes in its structure. Comparison of the texts of the Povest ob Ottone and the Povest o tsaritse i lvitse allows to make a conclusion that the Russian story is the original product connected with the primary source by the general plot.
