Increasing the creative functions of the university in the context of society development

All stages of the development of the university can be conditionally divided into 3 parts: pre-industrial period, industrial and post-industrial. If in the pre-industrial period the main functions can be represented as the translation of knowledge and cultural and educational functions, then in the next stage the function of generating new knowledge through research activities is added. Today, the university in the form in which it existed for many years is no longer able to keep up with the rapidly changing conditions and meet the challenges of our time. Often there are studies that justify the need to add an entrepreneurial mission. This article examines a new facet of the university, in the context of which it concentrates people in itself, instilling in them competencies to overcome the boundaries of given sociocultural schemes and attitudes with a practical focus, which is a necessary condition for innovative development, and at the same time for the humanistic development of society.
