Gestosis of late pregnancy and functional state of the organ of vision

This review discussed the most interesting studies of perfusion diffusion deficiency in the morpho functional system mother placenta fetus in women with pre eclampsia and eclampsia. The main causes of damage of vascular endothelium are described, which are vasospasm and accelerated formation of free radicals in the organism of pregnant women with pre eclampsia. In the ophthalmic changes irregular spasm of small arterioles, even during normal pregnancy during biomicroscopy of conjunctiva vessels is described. The main method of visual organ study is Ophthalmoscopy. Pathologic changes in the retina and its vessels, with gestosis of pregnancy, mainly coincide with the changes observed in hypertension. The group of high risk of ophthalmologic complication development consist of pregnant women with arterial hypo and a hypertension, anaemia and gestosis who show the expressed deficiency of blood circulation of eye region. Further pathophysiological studies of processes occurring in the placenta, kidneys, brain and eyeball in women with pregnancy gestosis is necessary to control vascular endothelial disorders and dysfunctions.
