The aim of this study is to analyze a rare complication - late hematoma, which developed 14 years after reconstructive surgery using a breast implant and a latissimus dorsi flap in a patient with breast cancer. The article describes a clinical case of a patient who presented with complaints of pain and inflammation in the reconstructed breast. Diagnostic results revealed fluid accumulation and hematoma formation. During surgery, the damaged implant was removed, the hematoma was evacuated, and the cavity was sanitized. The article discusses possible mechanisms for the development of delayed hematoma, including mechanical friction, microcracks in the capsule, and inflammatory reactions. The need for long-term follow-up of patients after reconstructive surgeries to timely detect such complications is emphasized.
