The practical value of expert examination

The article deals with the status of an expert as a participant in criminal proceedings, analyses expert opinion as a source of evidence in the criminal process of Russia. The study has been carried out on the basis of the analysis of theoretical works on the subject, the legislative basis of the Russian Federation, as well as the practice of special knowledge application by experts of police forensic departments in the city of Nalchik.
