The relevance of this study is determined by the need to reduce the gap between the theoretical training of graduates and the requirements of the modern labor market. In the context of dynamic economic development and the digitalization of the educational environment, the role of cooperation between higher education institutions and employers is increasing as a key factor in the formation of students’ professional competencies. The purpose of the study is to analyze the role of practice-oriented learning as an effective mechanism for integrating the educational process and professional activity. The main forms of cooperation between universities and employers are considered, including the organization of industrial practice, internships, the participation of employers’ representatives in the development of educational programs, and the implementation of dual education. The methodological basis of the study includes systemic and competency-based approaches, as well as an analysis of scientific literature on the research problem. Modern pedagogical practices aimed at strengthening the applied orientation of the educational process are summarized. The findings show that practice-oriented learning contributes to the development of students’ professional and general competencies, increases their competitiveness in the labor market, and accelerates their professional adaptation after graduation. Special attention is given to the need to expand partnerships between educational institutions and employers, as well as to the implementation of innovative educational technologies. Practice-oriented learning is an important condition for improving the quality of higher education and for training qualified specialists who meet the current demands of the economy.
