The article presents the theoretical and organizational aspects of solving the problem of ensuring the quality of vocational training of students of institutions of secondary vocational education. As a basis, the author considers the implementation of the principle of duality of education as a practice-oriented model of organizing professional training of college students. The article describes both the signs of the positive influence of duality on the quality of education, and the shortcomings that impede the solution of the problem. The role of a professional educational organization and an enterprise in the implementation of the process of preparing students is noted. The novelty of the presented materials is determined by the fact that the author has established a number of features of the dual education system in the Polytechnic College and at the enterprises interacting with it. The article also highlights the organizational and methodological measures for the implementation of the principle of duality of education in college.
