Rules and methodology of the subject of the basis of life safety

This article characterizes today's quality of life. Shows the structure of life safety. An idea of functional literacy, its structure and functions is given. The structural components of functional literacy (global types of literacy and specific to a particular country), aimed at the formation of life safety components, and the practice of mastering them in education are characterized. The model of development of functional literacy in the context of changes is shown. New threats to life safety in the 21st century and new types of literacy as a means of overcoming it are identified. The prospects for the development of functional literacy in the context of the transition to a post-industrial society are considered.
