The legality of the use of special signals when performing an urgent official task (scientific review of judicial practice)

The article analyzes the issues of the lawful use of special signals on vehicles of operational services during the performance of an urgent official task. Typical road traffic accidents involving vehicles of operational services are considered in detail on the example of a number of court decisions. Based on the review of judicial practice on the establishment of liability for failure to provide an advantage in traffic to a vehicle moving to perform an urgent official task with special light and sound signals turned on, it is proposed to amend the regulatory legal acts defining the order of these vehicles, as well as other road users.
