The history of involvement of Orthodox Estonians in the pedagogical activity of the capital region has not attracted academic attention so far. Thanks to the data of the reports of the deanery of Estonian parishes of St. Petersburg diocese it is possible to briefly portray the most outstanding law teachers. The archival funds of educational institutions in St. Petersburg contain much information about pedagogical activities of the clergy of the Russian-Estonian parish in the capital, especially Archpriest Pavel Kulbush (martyr Platon of Revelsk later on) and Priest Alexander Paklyar. Their pedagogical achievements turned out to be surprisingly wide-ranging.
