The legal nature of administrative supervision in accordance with national and foreign legislation

The article is devoted to the study of the legislation of the Russian Federation and a number of foreign countries regulating the establishment of administrative supervision in relation to persons released from serving a sentence and having an unexpunged or outstanding conviction for a certain range of crimes. The purpose of the work is to define the concept, essence and branch of administrative supervision. Taking into account the formal and material characteristics that are inherent in the categories under consideration, the conclusion contains the author’s concept of administrative supervision.
