Legal Environment for Criminological Security

The article considers the key elements of modern legal environment for criminological security, including a set of measures aimed at protecting individuals, society and the state from criminal encroachments. The relevance of the study stems from a range of factors determined by contemporary challenges and threats. In the context of globalization and rapid technological development, there are qualitative changes in the structure and nature of crimes, necessitating the adaptation of legal mechanisms to counteract it. Criminological security is an integral element of national security, which is directly reflected in the National Security Strategy of the Russian Federation as a key document defining the main directions of activity in the field of national security. In this regard, development of an integrated approach to ensuring criminological security within the framework of the general state policy is of primary importance.
