Legal features of import substitution of goods in the context of sanctions in Russia

Foreign trade in goods and services remains one of the main factors that have a significant impact on the economic development of the country. The article examines the sanctions pressure on Russia, the political coercion of the countries of the world to fulfill the will of the EU and the United States. Sanctions turn into an indicator of the transformation of power relations between states, their sovereignty, and form a hierarchy of international relations. Thus, the chronology of the trade and sanctions confrontation points to the peculiarities of the modern world order and the possibility of countering them, realizing existing advantages. The article examines the policy of import substitution by replacing imports of certain goods through their production in Russia, which is a strategic direction of the state's development.
