The legal status of employees of the clerks in the second half of 15th - beginning of 17th century

The article revealed the legal status of employees of the clerks in the second half of 16 - the beginning of 17 c. on the basis of a study of codified texts (Code of Law) and legislative acts. It was found that the sphere of responsibilities clearly regulated between officials in the proceedings of writ. However, the general principle of estates in the division of responsibility contributed to the development of corruption and bribery among the clerks.
