Legal education of voters as a field of activity of election commissions

The article is devoted to the activities of election commissions to raise the level of electoral and legal culture of young people. The legal worldview and the legal culture formed on its basis characterize a citizen as a subject of socio-political life. The article discusses the purpose and objectives, forms and methods of electoral legal education based on the Concepts of improving the legal culture of voters adopted by the CEC of the Russian Federation and implemented at the federal and regional levels. Legal education of voters is aimed at spreading knowledge about the functioning of the electoral system, the formation of socio-political competencies, and the political socialization of the younger generation as potential participants in the electoral process.
