Legal regulation of specially protected natural areas

The paper considers the legal regulation of specially protected natural areas for the objects of nature management; the features of the current environmental legislation are studied. The authors analyze legislative framework regulating the creation and development of specially protected natural areas, discuss main characteristics of different categories of specially protected natural areas, and identify the most common problems of effective management of specially protected natural areas in Russia. To solve these problems, the government and administration need to take additional economic and organizational decisions, organize informational and educational activities, take measures to fi nalize and adopt necessary amendments to the relevant regulatory legal acts.
