The article discusses the features of the legal regulation of military legal proceedings in criminal cases in the final period of the Russian Empire. The norms of the Charter of the military-judicial in the edition of 1902 are analyzed. Appropriate generalizations are made. It is noted, in particular, that this act provided for a rather extensive and complex structure of military courts, the regulation of which was carried out separately from the general courts. The functioning of military courts gave the authorities the opportunity to quickly resolve issues of conviction and punishment of persons from among the military, and above all those guilty of crimes against the state.
