Legal control as a specialized type of departmental control of the legality of operational investigative activities

The work is devoted to the study of legal control as a type of departmental control of operational investigative activities. The main motivating factor for the functioning of legal control in the activities of internal affairs bodies and in the field of operational investigative activities, in particular, is the presence of facts of violations of the rule of law by employees of operational units and the need for legal support for the rule-making and law enforcement activities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. The author argues the conclusion according to which the legal control of operational investigative activities is a specific type of departmental control and is carried out in the forms of legal expertise of draft legal acts, assessment of the legality of adopted departmental legal acts, compliance with the procedure for organizing judicial work carried out by bodies, organizations, divisions, monitoring compliance with the legislation of the Russian Federation regulating official activities in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
