The relevance of the scienti c work is viewed through the prism of the role and importance of legal education in Russia. The beginning of the 1990s marked a radical transformation in the sectors of economic, social and political life of society, thanks to which a global reform is being carried out in the country, a ecting the entire legal system, in particular, legislative authorities, mechanisms and means of implementing and ensuring law. The e ectiveness of such transformations is determined by the degree of development of legal culture in modern civil society, which has been formalized in the recently adopted Foundations of the State Policy of the Russian Federation in the eld of the development of Legal literacy and Legal Awareness of citizens. In accordance with these provisions, the creation of a state governed by the rule of law, the formation of civil society and the strengthening of national accord in Russia is impossible without a certain coe cient of the legal culture of society, because this signi cantly complicates the full implementation of such fundamental principles as unquestioning observanc and respect for the current legislation, the protection and inviolability of human rights, ensuring reliable protection of the interests of the state. That is why professional legal awareness of people is a key factor in the development of any legal mechanism of the state.
