Precedent phenomena in the epistolary text (based on the letters of A.P. Chekhov)

The article deals with analysis of the peculiarities of the reflection of the precedent phenomena in the text of the personal letter based on the epistolary heritage of A.P. Chekhov. There are observed the precedent phenomena in the letters of the writer, their study allows to value both the depth of the knowledge of the writer and the cultural background of the epoch.
