Local government and state authority. Distinctions of subjects of local self-government and restrictions of the state authority

The article defines such concepts as "local self-government", "state power", "subjects of jurisdiction". The theoretical aspects of these concepts are revealed. Attempts have been made to analyze the definitions based on the consideration of the theory of the Municipal Law of the Russian Federation. This article will consider the nature of the subjects of jurisdiction of local government and public authorities. After the study of the concepts themselves, the author identifies the essential features, characteristics of the subjects of reference. It was revealed that their differentiation plays an important role in determining local self-government and government bodies. The author believes that this topic is relevant because it is debatable among lawyers.
