The article discusses the results of a historiographical study of the problem of theoretical justification, development and implementation of a system for training future teachers of vocational training using a set of benchmarking technologies. Special attention is paid to the understanding of pedagogical interpretation and adaptation of benchmarking as a tool of the project method.
