The article focuses on the relevance of applying a systematic approach to the staff motivation of productive organizations, as well as on the difficulties and barriers that directly or indirectly prevent its application. The study shows that the lack of system in modern practice of motivating staff of productive organizations manifests itself in several forms, such as axiological, structural, functional, evaluation, technological. Particular attention is paid to the consideration of typical manifestations of non-systematic nature in the current practice of labor motivation -instrumental limitation of motivation, its subject limitation, functional limitation, weak feedback or even its absence, "the error of ethical fetishism", the uncertainty of the conditions of motivation, desubjectivation, dispersion, inconsistency, formality. The main forms are identified and described as motivational contradiction - interlevel, interdisciplinary, intersubjective. A general logical scheme of system analysis is presented, including the following stages: selection of the object of study; component analysis object (selection of individual components); defining and describing a plurality of components; definition of elements (irreducible components of the system); comparative analysis of system elements and their grouping; definition and characterization of links between elements; hierarchy definition connections; allocation of backbone links; definition (definition) of the object under study as a system.
