The opportunities of typical steppe restoration in the Zavolzhje and Urals

The Russian specificity of the agrarian developing the steppes is examined. Stipa lessingiana is considered to be the main steppe dominant grass showing characteristics expected in an aggressive introduced species. The falling of steppe agricultural lands out of demand is examined, the classification of such lands is proposed. The opportunities of the use of agricultural lands fell out of demand in the conservation is in focus. An idea to improve the steppe land use management in the regional level is proposed.
