Prerequisites for the emergence of simplified judicial proceedings in criminal proceedings

The article considers the key prerequisites for the emergence of simplified judicial proceedings in criminal proceedings. Based on the analysis of scientific literature, it was possible to systematize the normative provisions contained in the Soviet legislation and highlight their shortcomings, which led to the temporary abolition of this institution. As prerequisites, it was possible to highlight the need to speed up and reduce the cost of criminal proceedings, the feasibility of creating unhindered access to justice for all subjects, the possibility of resolving the conflict peacefully for some forms of judicial proceedings.
