Entrepreneurial Intelligence as a Factor in Sustainable National Development

The article analyzes the factors hindering the development of entrepreneurship in Russia. A literature review has revealed that the authors study not only the effectiveness of government support methods and the complexities of the external business environment but also the challenges of entrepreneurial personal development. This is due to the large number of micro-businesses which success depends more on the personality of the owner (entrepreneur) than on the organization's management. The article presents the results of opinion survey on the standardization of entrepreneurial activity. The study was conducted using a questionnaire among entrepreneurs who are members of the public organization for small and medium-sized businesses "Opora Rossii." We have interviewed a total of 654 entrepreneurs from 12 regions of Russia. The data obtained indicate a limited understanding of the essence of entrepreneurship even among the representatives of small and medium-sized businesses. It has been revealed that the dominant reason for choosing entrepreneurship is a conscious choice and a desire for personal growth. This choice is a manifestation of a special "entrepreneurial intelligence." We have defined the concept of "entrepreneurial intelligence" as a basis for developing and training of entrepreneurship.
