Submission made by a preliminary investigation officer on elimination of violations of the law: Problem statement

The subject of research in the article includes the problematic aspects of normative regulation of the activity on introduction by the investigator, inquirer and head of the investigative body of submissions to eliminate violations of the law. Based on the results of a systematic comparative analysis of the content of certain provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation, other federal laws, as well as departmental normative acts, contradictions in the norms that form the authority of various officials of public authorities to make submissions to settle violations of the law are revealed. The author draws attention to the gaps and shortcomings of legal regulation, and proposals are made to resolve some of them. The result of the analysis was the justification of the need for further theoretical research in this area and the identification of possible vectors for further research.
