The sociology of childhood pays special attention to the problem of the socialization of children. Modern children are involved in the system of consumption at an early stage; society influences them through the process of consumer socialization resulting in consumer preferences that can be resistant for a long period. A shop meets the child’s needs for a product and facilitates the development of consumer behavior. To study the ideas of children about the store, the researcher analyzed the children’s shop game. When selecting research methods, the author primarily applied soft techniques. The study involved preschoolers living in cities. The paper identified and described the opinions of preschool children on the store space arrangement, the distribution of roles, and trade and money relations.
