The notion of competitiveness and the evaluation of competitiveness of the students in the Baikal region

The article presents the key notions of competition in general and the students' competitiveness in the Baikal region in particular. These aspects can be grouped in three categories: “the acceptable frames of competition ”, “the level of self-perception of being competitive”, “the correlation between competitiveness and cooperation”. The factors of attitude to competition and the factors characterizing competitiveness are determined and approved.
