Vietnamese students’ perception about Moscow (pilot study)

The research paper is a study of the problems connected with attitude and perception of Moscow by the Vietnamese who are currently studying in one of the higher educational institutions of the capital city - the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation. In order to study the opinions of the Vietnamese students regarding the reality of Moscow, a sociological survey consisting of 11 questions was compiled and conducted. The attitude of the Vietnamese to the city itself, to the natural conditions, to education, to the standard of living in Moscow, etc. was studied. As a result, the main trends in the Vietnamese-Russian relations are deduced. The relevance and novelty of the work lies in the objective examination of the problem of the Vietnamese attitude to the capital of the Russian Federation with the help of sociological tools. The results obtained during the study can be used in the programming of additional courses on Russian culture for Vietnamese students, as well as in the process of creating of popular science books and brochures.
