Preliminary results of study of the craniological materials from the Besinshitobe cemetery

The article presents the preliminary results of the study of anthropological materials from the burial of Besinshitobe - a monument from the region of the Lower and Middle Syr Darya river during the existing of the Kanguy state (III century BC - IV century AD) on the territory of South Kazakhstan. Their individual anthropological descriptions, craniometrical data and characteristics of typological features are given. The measuring of the anthropological data and the corresponding calculated indices of the most important measurements on the skull are given in the tables for adult individuals only. The presentation of preliminary results of the study of anthropological materials from the burial site belonging to the Otrar-Karatau culture is the first step for introducing into the scientific circulation new objective craniological data that will supplement the missing specific information about the physical appearance of the Kanguy state's population.
