Purpose of the study: To study the cardioprotective properties of sevoflurane anesthesia in patients after myocardial revascularization under cardiopulmonary bypass. Material and methods: 60 patients with coronary artery disease (EF 61,3±1,0%) operated under CPB and sevoflurane and total intravenous anesthesia (TIVA). Central hemodynamics, troponin I, CK-MB and heat shock protein 70 (HSP 70) level in plasma and HSP 70 level in myocardium were studied. Results: In patients with sevoflurane anesthesia the level of Troponin I after the operation was lesser, than in patients with TIVA. After cardiopulmonary bypass the level of HSP 70 in myocardium of the right atrium was increased by 1,6 times as to compare with the initial values, in patients with TIVA the level of HSP 70 did not change. The reverse correlation between the level of HSP 70 in plasma and the level of Troponin I during the first (r = - 0,61, р
