This article describes the effectiveness of the Microsoft Power Point Presentation as a way to increase the motivation of students to learn and develop the skills of learning a foreign language. There are justifications for the active use of Microsoft Power Point in the lessons of a foreign language.

In the last decade the educational system is actively integrating into the world educational space that within the framework of the Bologna Convention modern requirements are advanced not only to the application of fundamentally new approaches and methods to improve the quality of the educational process, but also to the training of highly qualified personnel in various fields of science and technology. It is important to note that "it is the teacher who represents the main link in the chain of forming a stable motivation for learning English: his ability to convince the student of the need to work hard and work intensively, the teaching professionalism, experience and practical knowledge of the discipline" Foreign Language", "Professional Foreign Language"; the establishment of good relations, which are available for communication in a foreign language, can stimulate students to study the international language of communication. The teacher should take the lead, but not the dominant position, to perform the role of not only the organizer, but also an accomplice in such an educational process, which is built as a dialogue between the student and the reality he knows, with other people, as enriching their personal experience "[4, p. 124]. The use of information technology in the teaching of students makes it possible for the teacher to improve the methods, forms, and content of instruction in accordance with the tasks of comprehensive development of the individual who are studying in modern conditions of informatization of society [1]. The capabilities of modern information technologies allow students not only to master new material in various types of expressive and receptive speech activity, but also to activate cognitive activity in independent work. Systematic independent work of students is one of the important conditions for successful mastery of the discipline studied, in particular by the foreign language [2, p. 151].

Scientific and pedagogical research in the issue of independent work of students in the study of a foreign language (I.A. Andreeva, K.B. Esipovich, I.A. Zimnyaya, G.A. Kitaigorodskaya, O.P. Kryukova, A.A. Leontiev, E.I. Passov, etc.) give the following characteristics to this type of cognitive activity:

  • 1)    individualization (the correspondence of the content of training to the level of development of the processes of thinking, perception, memory, attention, emotional sphere, as well as motivations and interests, the experience of students, the organization of an appropriate mode of instruction, the use of various methods,

forms, means of instruction, taking into account the individual characteristics of students );

  • 2)    activity (independent work creates such psychological and pedagogical conditions for students in which they, as a subject of educational activity, can show their activity at the level of perception and memory, imagination and creative thinking, reproduction);

  • 3)    voluntariness (the conscious desire of the students to achieve results, overcoming the emerging difficulties);

  • 4)    creativity (manifested in the process of independent formulation of the problem, solving the problem, adjusting the activity);

  • 5)    absence of a teacher (a variable property of independent work, since it can proceed either in the absence of the teacher, or with its minimal guidance and indirect assistance);

  • 6)    readiness for foreign-language communication (students, learning any teaching material, not only learn new information for them, but also try to incorporate it into the situation of solving learning tasks for independent work);

  • 7)    comfort (the presence of a favorable emotional learning climate) [1].

Using a computer in a foreign language class can solve a number of pedagogical tasks, namely: -develop the creative abilities of students; -increase the research activity of students in the learning process; -to develop cognitive activity and interest in the discipline under study; -develop logical thinking among students; -to improve the quality of mastering the material; -individualize the educational process; -minimize or exclude the possibility of subjective assessment of knowledge in students [5, c. 630].

The computer, as an effective means of teaching a foreign language, can be used at all stages of the educational process in the discipline "Foreign Language" in the university: with the initial presentation of the material, training it in various types of speech activity (listening, speaking, reading, writing), fixing, repeating previously studied material; when controlling the level of knowledge, skills and skills. The presence of a computer with the ability to access the Internet, an interactive whiteboard, a projector and other technical means of teaching in the classroom allows the instructor not only to intensify the learning process, but also visualize it, make it more dynamic.

Specificity of studying a foreign language, in particular English, is that the formation of basic lexical and grammatical skills is based, as a rule, on memorization, especially at the initial stage of training. In the process of automating skills, gradually mastering new material and increasing the level of foreign language skills, a student can use the computer's capabilities to solve their own communication tasks, in particular in individual, pair or group project activities using the Microsoft Power Point presentation. Modern approaches to learning a foreign language accentuate the importance of using project activities using Power Point's opportunities in class, as this type of educational activity allows the student to express his own, carefully thought out and prepared ideas in a creative, individualized form. To create a presentation in Microsoft Power Point, the student must perform a series of consistent actions, namely:

  • 1)    choose a topic for the job;

  • 2)    draw up a work plan, which includes the collection of information, its analysis, structuring, etc.

  • 3)    formalize work with classified preliminary information in the Microsoft Power Point program;

  • 4)    present the completed project in a group or microgroup;

  • 5)    answer questions from the audience. In the process of creating a multimedia presentation in Power Point, the student needs to follow a number of general rules to make the presentation effective: -that presentation structure: (the number of slides varies from 10 to 20, the title page should contain the name of the presentation, the name of the student or developer, place of study-name of the university, faculty, department, group, the conclusion should reflect the

conclusions of the research project and reflect the list used for the preparation of the presentation of the literature);

  • - content corresponding to the declared subject of the project;

  • - interesting and accessible presentation of information to the audience;

  • - Good illustrations, diagrams, drawings, tables and. etc. and their reasonable dosing on a single slide and throughout the presentation;

  • - audibility and visibility of the material presented in the project (use of recommended font sizes for presentation, color design of slides, etc.);

  • - compliance with the time frames of the presentation (from 5 to 20 minutes depending on the type of presentation:

self-presentation, presentation of the project, presentation of the thesis project, etc.) [3]. Thus, the use of the Microsoft Power Point presentation in the university classes allows not only to increase the motivational level of students, intensify the learning process, involve students in creative activity in a foreign language, but also to pass from the passive to the active way of implementing educational activities in which the student is the main participant in the learning process.
