The article examines the aspects of self-development, acquiring economic and market context in "being-in-the-world". The author believes that the economy today is the "epistemological backdrop" in the self-awareness, and it becomes a generalizing, ontologically indisputable beginning. It is concluded that Self-as-a-thing is becoming a matrix of self-identity in the artificial reality of things.
