Presumption of innocence threatened

The presumption of innocence protects the freedom and human dignity of any person charged by the state with criminal behavior. A person charged with a criminal offense faces serious social and personal consequences, including potential loss of physical freedom, social stigma and social stigma, and other social, psychological and economic problems.
