It has been almost two decades since higher educational institutions started training specialists in different fields of applied informatics, however there is still a problem of mismatching between the system of training graduates and the needs of labour market in specialists on professionally oriented IT systems. The article contains the analysis of different generations of higher vocational educational standards and represents one of the major reasons of that mismatching.
