Application of geoinformation systems in the study of the demographic burden of the population of the Southern federal district

In this paper, a study of the demographic burden of the population of the Southern Federal District is carried out. In order to achieve this goal, a study was conducted with the subsequent construction of cartograms of the load of the population younger than able-bodied and older than able-bodied, as well as the overall coefficient of demographic load. During their analysis, it was revealed that there is a fairly high level of demographic burden in the district.
