This article examines the importance of using gaming technologies in Russian lessons, since gaming technologies contribute to the education of cognitive interests and the activation of students’ activities. Revealing the internal potential of students is the main principle of the personality-activity approach in the educational process. Lessons conducted in such an unconventional format, namely game lessons, help to deepen knowledge, form communicative activity, increase self-esteem, a sense of responsibility, collectivism, enhance mobility, develop thinking, analytical mind, etc. The practical value of the article lies in the fact that the development of lessons with the use of gaming technologies, as a model, can be used by teachers in Russian.
