Immunomodulators application to increase immune status of piglets

The paper by "The application of immunomodulators to improve the immune status of calves" touches upon the study of natural resistance in calves in the first days of life with the account of their health state at birth. Further, in the paper it has been defined a responsive reaction of the organism of calves to the administration of T-activin and polyphage as stimulants of the immune system with the account of their health state at birth. After prophylactic and cure use of immunomodulators the general condition of newly-born calves improved considerably, disease rate decreased. The analysis of the obtained data in accordance with morphological and biochemical composition of blood shows that erythropoiesis and hematopoiesis are obviously seen and the increase of gammaglobulin fraction of general albumen takes place. In addition, the level of immunological reactivity is confirmed by high indexes of T-lymphocytes, phagocytic, lisozyme and bactericidal activity.
