Application of information technologies to the formation of professional foreign language communicative competence of engineering students

The application of information technologies in a non-linguistic university to the formation, development and improvement of professional foreign language communicative competence of students is considered. The principles of teaching foreign languages within the framework of a competency-based approach are formulated. The examples of information technologies that can be used to develop English-language communicative competencies are presented. The project-based method is proposed to be used in combination with information technologies to improve the efficiency of teaching a foreign language at a technical university.
